Jeanie Howard joined 21 other women on the first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor. The youngest contestant on the senior dating show is 60, and the oldest is 75. Retired restaurateur Gerry Turner hopes to find a second love of his life among the 22 women.
After three rose ceremonies, just nine women are left in the Bachelor Mansion. Retired Project Manager Jeanie Howard, 65, unfortunately isn’t one of them. Howard and Natascha Hardee were eliminated at the rose ceremony in Week 2.
She Names Celebrity Crush & Idols
Despite getting eliminated, Bachelor Nation fans are still curious about Jeanie Howard. She recently chatted with Bachelornation.com, answering rapid-fire 20 questions, covering everything from her celebrity crush to which Bachelor Nation alums she’d hang out with.
When it comes to celebrity couples she looks up to, she mentioned Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who are nearing 20 years of marriage.
Don’t get jealous if you’re reading this, Gerry, but you’re not Jeanie Howard’s celebrity crush.
That honor goes to actor Kevin Costner.
In the latest episode of Golden Bachelor, the women performed in a talent show. What’s Howard’s secret talent? “Lassoing a dog, but it’s not what you think. I walk shelter dogs, so you quickly need to loop their neck then create a harness with the rope around their chest and legs prior to walking them,” she revealed.
The person who inspires her the most is the iconic Dolly Parton. “She constantly gives to improve the world for others. I admire those that see a problem and become part of the solution,” Howard said of her idol.
What Would Jeanie Howard Tell Future Bachelor Contestants?
If Jeanie Howard could hang out with anyone from Bachelor Nation, she’d choose “Any of my castmates.”
She also revealed that she gets a kick out of Googling herself since her brief reality TV fame.
After her experience on The Golden Bachelor, what advice would she give to future contestants looking for love on the dating show?
It was the same advice she gave the women still in the game for Gerry Turner, “Be yourself.” She added, “As long as you’re authentic and true to yourself, you’ll have no regrets.”
