Entertainment Tonight caught up with Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and got the scoop on a few things. First, he shared that the show has really made an impact on people’s lives and he loves that. He is proud that his journey is inspiring others to move on with their lives after losing their spouse. Gerry wants people to know it’s never too late to fall in love again.
The Golden Bachelor shared that a former friend of his reached out via direct message on social media. This former friend lost his wife around the same time that Gerry lost Toni.
Gerry shared what was in the message by saying, “He said, ‘Gerry, all these years I have not dated anyone and I’ve watched you on the first two episodes of the show and I’m inspired with your emoting hope and a little bit of luck, I’m now dating someone.'” He also revealed that he and his daughter were crying while reading the message.
He explained further saying, “That’s what this is for. You want to give people the confidence to not just hope but to find heart and to find humor and enjoy their lives and find that person.”
Gerry will ultimately develop strong feelings for two of the women. So far nobody knows who he chooses at the final rose ceremony. However, everyone is cheering him on and hoping he finds exactly what he is looking for.
He ignored his daughter’s advice
Gerry also shared that before going on his journey, his daughters gave him some advice. He said they told him he should not kiss the ladies on night one. As everyone knows, Gerry did not follow that piece of advice. He actually shared several kisses on that first night at the mansion.
He also shared that he has no regrets about the kissing and revealed he really enjoyed it.
