‘Sister Wives’ Was Mykelti Brown Paid For Childbirth Scenes?
Sister Wives fans saw that in Season 17, Episode 3, Mykleti Brown Padron, Christine Brown’s daughter went into labor. It was shown a long time after Avalon was actually born. But was she paid? Bear in mind she endured a terrible 22 hours of extreme pain in front of the cameras.
Sister Wives: Filming Mykelti Brown’s Childbirth
If you watched the episode when the first child arrived, you probably felt shocked because Chrisitne’s daughter insisted that Robyn Brown attend virtually. Back then, the COVID restrictions made it dangerous for her to be present in St, George so she participated remotely. TLC fans winced as they watched the protracted labor which went on for a long time with no medication.
Opting for a home birth, the Sister Wives star relied on her mom for help. So, Christine rubbed Mykelti’s back in between contractions. Finally, after a scary moment with the umbilical cord, Avalon emerged, and everyone, including Tony Padron, sighed with relief. Probably, the camera crew also felt exhausted. Well, fans want to know if TLC pays the adult kids for allowing them to film.
Watching Mykelti give go through labor is triggering childbirth memories like no other. Bleh
I'm fond of my child and all but seriously looking forward to being too old to remember that pain.#SisterWives— Guilty Pleasure TV (@G_P_TV) September 26, 2022
Sister Wives Fans Also Saw Maddie Brown Brush Giving Birth
Maddie’s births were if anything, even more traumatizing for TLC fans to watch. However, she eventually delivered Axel and Evie-K. Meanwhile, Mykelti brown now has the twins, Ace and Archer as well. Curios about payment a fan asked Tony’s wife about getting paid. InTouch Weekly reported that the question came in a Q&A.

The Sister Wives star replied, saying, “Technically,…no.” Well, it’s not clear what “technically” means. Perhaps, it means that the family gets paid to be on the show, so no extra cash rolls their way if they give birth. Actually, it could even mean that like Jim Bob Duggar, the money goes to Kody Brown who then decides who gets what.
People Accused Mykelti And Tony Of Monetizing Their Kids
Sister Wives fans now know that no extra cash went the way of the Brown children who gave birth on TV. Mind you that doesn’t stop them from slamming Tony and his wife for profiting off the kids. For example, they slammed them for making the registry open to the public. That way, TLC fans could buy them gifts which they could exchange or return for cash credits.
At the same time, it was believed that TLC also paid them extra money to film the birth. However, it now turns out that critics can scratch that off their list of complaints.
What are your thoughts about the fact that people like Maddie Brown Brush and her half-sister, Mykelti Brown Padron don’t get paid to have their births filmed? Do you think that it’s wrong?
