‘Sister Wives’ How Mykelti And Tony Padron Use Kids To Profit
Sister Wives fans are seriously wondering how Tony and Mykelti Padron manage to financially support three children while living a seemingly lavish lifestyle. One fan boldly asked in a thread on Reddit a few days ago, “How on earth does this young couple with 3 kids and one MLM working parent afford all the gym equipment, gaming chair etc?”
As far as fans know, Mykelti Padron is the only breadwinner of her family as Tony Padron stays home and helps take care of the children. But, as far as fans know Mykelti Padron relies on social media and MLMs to support her family and pay all of her bills.
So, it is no surprise that some fans are wondering how the couple manages to support themselves and three young children while living seemingly comfortable lives mostly from home. Turns out, thanks to their reality TV following, the couples were able to make BANK on the birth of their children (especially the highly publicized pregnancy and birth of their twin boys).

Mykelti and Tony Padron got a paycheck for Avalon
For the birth of Avalon, Mykelti and Tony Padron allowed TLC to film. So, the couple would have gotten a paycheck from the network for agreeing to let Avalon’s birth be part of the series. While the two are hardly considered regulars on the show, they do make enough appearances that fans can only assume they get some sort of paycheck from the network for every episode they appear in as well.
They made bank off the twins
Now, fans have no reason to believe TLC filmed the birth of the twins because of how publicized the pregnancy was. This, however, doesn’t mean Mykelti and Tony Padron didn’t find ways to make bank on the birth of their twins. For starters, they sold several stories about their pregnancy to People Magazine. This included announcing the pregnancy, the gender reveal, and the birth announcement. The outlet would have cut the couple a check for each one of these exclusives.
According to chatter on social media from fans, the couple also used their reality TV connection to make bank off the birth of the boys using a common grifting technique. The fan explained that Tony and Mykelti took the time to set up registries for the birth of the twins and make them public. So, Sister Wives fans were able to buy from the registry and send gifts to Mykelti and Tony for the boys.
The fan goes on to explain that Tony and Mykelti would return duplicate items received from the registries in exchange for cash and/or store credit. The fan went on to explain this was an extremely common grifting technique. And, they assumed Christine Brown and David Woolley likely did the same with housewarming gifts for their new home. And, will possibly do the same with wedding gifts.
