‘WCTH’ Season 10: Will Elizabeth Leave Hope Valley For Lucas?
Sunday will be the penultimate episode of WCTH Season 10. This episode is entitled “Long Time Running.” More than anything, this is a pivotal moment for Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Lucas (Chris McNally).
Hope Valley is in trouble. Lucas has figured out that the Governor is part of the group that is taking away the water and sending it to Capital City. But, will the way to fight the negative forces break apart this affianced couple?
Here is a sneak peek that may prepare Hearties for Sunday’s episode.
Lucas Asks Elizabeth To Help Him Decide
There are two episodes left in WCTH Season 5. There promises to be a lot of action and suspense. The recent Hallmark sneak peek for the upcoming episode “Long Time Running” gives a clue to how monumental Lucas Bouchard’s choice is.
In this preview, Lucas and Elizabeth are alone. Lucas has just rung off the phone. The look on his face is series. “They want me to run. They say that Rosemary’s articles have been picked up by dozens of local newspapers, and radio hosts are reading them out loud, on the air.”
As Lucas wanders in circles around the room, Elizabeth takes a deep breath. Lucas asks, “There has to be someone else.” She replies, “Is there?” She knows that Lucas has the sort of fame and popularity in the area.
Then, Lucas continues. “He said with the election three weeks away, no one wants to run knowing that they will lose. That they don’t have enough time to campaign.”
Elizabeth agrees. “They’re right. Everyone knows your name. It’s as though your campaign has already started.”
Lucas is still not ready to commit. He needs one answer before he makes a decision.
“If I were to run, would you be ok with it?”
This is where the sneak peek ends. What does Elizabeth say? Is she willing to leave Hope Valley for Lucas and the town? Hearties will need to watch.
Will WCTH Be Back For Season 11?
Hallmark has already renewed WCTH for Season 11. Back in February, they made the announcement. Moreover, production began in July. That was thanks to a special waiver from SAG-AFTRA allowing them to film during the strike.
Is Chris McNally Leaving WCTH?
Once the WCTH storyline started the Lucas for Governor storyline, Hearties have been asking whether or not Chris McNally would remain on the Hallmark series. No matter what happens in the next two episodes, Hearties should feel comforted to know that Chris has been filming Season 11 with the rest of the crew.
Although there have been very few BTS photos during the strike, Chris is in Vancouver filming the Hallmark series. Also, he and his real-life love Julie Gonzalo are starring in 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost on Saturday, October 7, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

Hearties, do you think Elizabeth will leave Hope Valley?
Years ago I fell in love with hallmark channel. I used to love the clean, enjoyable action and camaraderie and quality family values that it verbally and physically represented and taught from the cradle.
Hallmark has now shifted to allow non-family value criteria to invade what once was family-safe. WCTH has remained clean and wholesome. I like that.
I don’t watch most of the Hallmark movies shown lately, and probably will discontinue my subscription, since most of them contain so many of today’s “non-family-safe/and non-quality,” popular TV movie values.
I do continue to faithfully watch (and rewatch) WCTH (with hopeful excitement).
About WCTH, I always felt Jack was a bit too full of himself and not quite right for our Elizabeth. I loved the short relationship between Elizabeth and her new mountie and now the one with Lucas. I love the character of Lucas (he’s climbed a tall mountain for sure). He’s both manly and strong. I feel he and Elizabeth are well suited. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the projected “govenor” plans and possibilities, but I’m sure the writers will do well with it. I, personally, would like to see them stay in Hope Valley. I was so sad to see Abbie removed, but as a family values show, it was the right thing to do (at that time). I would love to see her returned. I believe every movie or family series/show needs someone like her. I actually love each of the characters. They “fit” well together.
I especially would love to see the old angers and resentments healed. Several of them.
I’m not sure how my comments will be received, but I hoe they’re received well.

I do not believe Lucas and Elizabeth have the chemistry that her and Nathan have. I know he is a Mountie but the way she looks at him is not the way she looks at Lucas. I think she is afraid to love another Mountie and tried to convince herself she loved Lucas.
