Season 26 Bachelor star Clayton Echard is at the center of a scandal that surpasses even Chris Harrison’s strained exit from the franchise.
A fling Echard had in May 2023 is returning to haunt him, as the woman now claims he’s the father to the twins she’s expecting early next year.
She filed a lawsuit over the summer to get the courts to force Clayton Echard to take a paternity test. While he denies paternity, he posted on social media proof that he did take a paternity test.
Now the ball is in her court to complete her portion of the test this week. The results should be in this month to answer the question everyone is wondering, “Clayton, are you the father?”
Clayton Echard Alleges His Ex Filed Previous Paternity Lawsuits
But the Bachelor Nation star isn’t taking the lawsuit lightly. He claims this isn’t the first time his former flame filed a paternity lawsuit.
He took to his Instagram Story last week to share new information on the lawsuit. Echard previously shared a screenshot of the paternity test on his Stories, which is only visible for 24 hours and doesn’t allow for public comments.
According to the New York Post, the reality star shared an Instagram Story slide that said, “I’ve been notified (and have confirmed) that there are other individuals out there with nearly identical accusations being made against them by the exact same person. Some of the court cases are still publicly accessible and active.”
His social media statement seemingly activated the Bachelor Nation investigators on Reddit, who did a deep dive into his claims. What did they turn up?

After news of the paternity lawsuit went public, Clayton Echard told the U.S. Sun that nothing sexual happened between the two. However, a Reddit user discovered an email from Echard to the woman, in which he allegedly admitted to some intimacy.

Another thread in the Bachelor Nation subreddit details a Reddit user going to the courthouse and digging up previous filings involving the woman at the center of the paternity suit.
According to the thread, a previous ex of the woman filed an order of protection against her amid a similar paternity claim.
