What does 1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton really think about her sister Amy‘s new man? According to recent reports, she doesn’t quite have a flattering opinion of him.
When the series first began, Amy was happy and in love with Michael Halterman. The pair married onscreen and went on to have two sons together, Gage and Glenn. But during 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4, fans started seeing cracks in their relationship.
Shortly after the season ended, Amy and Michael went their separate ways. Now, it seems like she’s moved on with someone new. So why doesn’t Tammy Slaton care for him?
Tammy Slaton allegedly has beef with Amy’s new guy
Tammy Slaton doesn’t exactly beat around the bush when it comes to her true feelings. And according to The Sun, she has no problem revealing her thoughts about Amy’s new boyfriend.
The Sun reports that Amy’s new man is named Tony Rodgers. A source close to the family told the publication Tammy believes Tony is “a piece of c**p.”
The source goes on to allege that Tammy is concerned that Amy is trying to move on too quickly after splitting with Michael Halterman. However, Amy feels that she’s just having fun with a rebound relationship. But that’s not the only issue.
Tammy also reportedly thinks that Tony is terrible with Amy’s sons. However, The Sun did not go on to share examples.
Until fans learn more about Tony Rodgers, many are hesitant to judge him based on Tammy’s opinion. All sisters bicker from time to time, but Tammy and Amy seem to regularly antagonize one another. Many wouldn’t put it past Tammy to speak poorly about her sister’s boyfriend to the press purely out of spite.
Amy is enjoying this low-key romance for now
Many 1000-Lb Sisters fans hadn’t even realized that Amy Halterman was dating someone new. But according to The Sun, she has been seeing Tony Rodgers for about three months now. After showcasing her marriage on television, it makes sense that she wants a new relationship to be less visible.
However, it also makes sense that Tammy would just want to look out for her younger sister. After all, all the siblings pushed back when Tammy announced her engagement to Caleb Willingham last season. The family felt that Tammy was rushing things with Caleb and worried their marriage wouldn’t last.
And as most fans know, Tammy and Caleb split just a few months after their marriage. Caleb later passed away.
