Is ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ Kyle Viljoen Getting Fired?

Kyle Viljoen returns to Season 8 of Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean and fans think that he should be fired. Kyle Viljoen spent the end of Season 7 of Below Deck Med out of work with an ankle injury. Consequently, many fans believe Kyle was lazy for not working the last charter of the season. A Reddit thread created on September 22, 2023, revealed that of 1500 participants 700 of them think that Kyle should be fired.

Season 8 Has The Most Firings Ever?

Below Deck Mediterranean fans believe that Season 8 will have the most firings of any Season yet. Beating out Captain Jason Chambers in Below Deck Down Under’s Season 2, with a total of three firings. That means Season 8 of Below Deck Med would see a minimum of four firings. So who will Captain Sandy Yawn fire? Fans think that Kyle Viljoen should be the first of the crew members to go. One fan of Below Deck Med wrote “I hope it’s Kyle and I hope it’s within 5 minutes of episode 1. Easily in my bottom 5 least favorite BD characters. I hate him”. Many more fans echo this sentiment all across social media. Despite thoughts from fans, Kyle Viljoen made it through Episode 1 of Season 8 of Below Deck Med.

Kyles Return In Season 7

After Kyle Viljoen’s ankle injury in Season 7 Captain Sandy Yawn gave Kyle some time off. Certainly when Kyle returned to motor yacht Home, for the Season 7 finale fans and crew members alike were left outraged. According to Sportskeeda, this was all for the cameras. Throughout Season 7 Kyle left bad impressions with fans. They think that he is lazy, and often avoids his job. Fans were angry that Kyle Viljoen only returned to motor yacht Home after all of the work was completed. This seemed to hammer home the belief that Kyle likes to avoid his work.

Kyle Viljoen joined the crew from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 to party. Joining the other crew for their final night out on the town. Also later the next day Kyle said farewell to Captain Sandy Yawn like the rest of the crew. Fans believe all of this was just an act for the cameras and not a genuine act from Kyle. Leading to the consensus that he should be fired from Season 8.

Natalya Scudder Will Never Work With Kyle Viljoen Again

Natalya Scudder returns to Season 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean to fill in for chief stew Tumi Mhlongo. In an article with Yahoo Entertainment Natalya calls Kyle a “terrible human being”. Ouch that hurts! Natalya revealed in an interview that she would never again work with Kyle Viljoen. The tension between the pair may lead to Kyle getting fired in Season 8.
