The trailer for this new episode of Dateline about Juan David Ortiz gives a bit of information about what actually went down with him. You can check out the preview below.
One woman looked like she was executed after she actually had a feeling that she was going to be shot in the head. They realized that they had a serial killer on their hands. He actually did confess to the murders while in custody. They are lucky they caught him before Juan David Ortiz killed anyone else because it sounds like he had no plans to stop.
Who Was Juan David Ortiz And What Did He Do?
It turns out that Juan David Ortiz was actually an ex-border patrol agent. He said that he was “trying to clean up the streets” by committing the murders that he did back in 2018. He got a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole because prosecutors decided not to seek the death penalty in this case. Three of the women were shot and one was killed by blunt force trauma to the head. The bullets collected at the crime scene were all the same and matched the gun that was found in Ortiz’s pickup truck.
