Although The Today Show airs live episodes every day, many fans may not realize that there are actually new seasons. September 5, 2023 was the start of the new season and welcomed back anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. The women had taken vacations during the summer, as did many other members of the news team.
Now that there’s a brand new season, what exactly can fans expect to see? Savannah Guthrie gave viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse on her Instagram page.
Today anchor Savannah Guthrie hypes fans up for the fall season
Savannah Guthrie has been wildly popular with Today viewers since she secured her main anchor position in 2012. Since then, fans eagerly look forward to seeing her each morning.
Although she’s taken some time off recently, fans will be pleased to know that an all-new season of The Today Show has arrived. Savannah and the rest of the team are back in action and can’t wait to put on a great show for viewers at home.
To celebrate the new season, Savannah Guthrie shared some fun behind-the-scenes photos on social media. The news anchor simply captioned her Instagram post, “behind the scenes 𼰔
She uploaded several photos of the Today team interacting with one another, including one adorable image of a group high-five. Fans really appreciated the post.
“The Today Show is such a cute lil fam!!! â¤ď¸” one fan shared in the comments.
“What beautiful photos of friendship,” another added. Many other fans wrote that they were excited to see that almost all the anchors were included in the photos.
To celebrate the start of a new school year, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb posed with monogrammed backpacks.
According to HELLO!, this season’s setup “features Savannah and Hoda alongside third co-host Craig, Al Roker on the weather, and Carson Daly as the pop culture correspondent. Sheinelle and Dylan Dreyer host the show’s Third Hour, while Jenna Bush Hager joins Hoda for the Fourth Hour.”

As TV Shows Ace previously shared, Savannah Guthrie missed several episodes of Today over the summer. In fact, some viewers worried that she may never return at all.
Thankfully, it appears that she was spending much-needed time with her family. Savannah attended the US Open with her family and even took her daughter to see Taylor Swift in concert.
But now, she is back behind the news desk and ready to get back to work. Hopefully, this will be one exciting season of The Today Show.
