Rodney Mathews was one of the most popular contestants from Season 18 of The Bachelorette, despite not winning Michelle Young’s Final Rose. In fact, he was so popular, many fans wanted him as the next Bachelor.
Instead, he joined Season 8 of Bachelor In Paradise. While on the beach, he found himself in a love triangle with former Bachelor contestants Lace Morris (Season 20) and Eliza Isichei (Season 26.) However, he ended up leaving the beach alone after splitting with Isichei.
Hard Launches New Girlfriend In ‘Quick Life Update’
Mathews had a chance to get back together with Eliza Isichei at the post-show reunion, but turned her down. Is he finally getting a chance at his happy ending?
At the start of September, the former college football player took to his Instagram with a “quick life update.” Alongside a photo of him with his arm around a gorgeous woman, he wrote, “happiest I’ve ever been.” The photo’s location is set to Los Angeles, California, and it appears the photo was taken at an amusement park.
The woman in the photo is Ari J. She posted a similar photo on her Instagram with the caption, “made 4 me.”
It’s unclear how long the couple have been dating, but they seem happy together.
Another Bachelor In Paradise Alum Launches New Relationship
Rodney Mathews wasn’t the only BIP alum to hard launch a new relationship over the holiday weekend. Andrew Spencer also went Instagram official with a new lady.
Andrew S. also appeared on Season 8 of BIP after getting sent home by Katie Thurston right before hometowns on Season 17 of The Bachelorette.
Us Weekly reports that he debuted his new relationship at Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt’s second wedding over Labor Day weekend. The couple had a star-studded wedding in Charleston, South Carolina nearly a year after their original courthouse nuptials in New York City.
Bachelor Nation stars Noah Erb, Abigail Heringer, and Tia Booth were among the wedding-goers. Bachelor In Paradise bartender Wells Adams officiated the ceremony.
Andrew Spencer attended the wedding with new girlfriend Beca Michie as his plus-one. Click here to see photos of the wedding guests.
Joe Amabile and Serene Pitt, as well as Heringer and Erb, are just two examples of relationships that began on the beach in Paradise.
