Here Is What Hallmark’s Notes Of Autumn Is About

Here is what Hallmark’s Notes Of Autumn is about. According to the synopsis, Ellie is a classically trained pianist. However, her day job is working for a hotel. Long ago, she gave up her musical dreams but still lives in the city. Sometimes the inspiration strikes to create new music, but she cannot get past the inspiration stage. Therefore, she has set her dreams aside. But, she still feels that something is missing.

On the other hand, her best friend Leo has been fulfilling his dreams of being a writer. He has found tremendous success with his book series. Leo is a qualified success and is a famous author. Unlike Ellie, he lives in British Columbia in a rural and quaint area. He loves the rustic location, but it is not helping him with his current writer’s block. Leo cannot move forward.

After talking to Ellie, the two decide to swap homes. They realize this is an opportunity for a fresh start and to invigorate their lives.

Ellie quickly gets to know Leo’s neighbor, Sam. He needs help with a musical fundraiser and she is happy to help him. It is amazing how at ease she is putting this together. This is totally opposite to her failed attempts at her musical career in the city.

As for Leo, he has become pals with Ellie’s good friend Matt. Being in the city has broadened Leo’s writing and he has tried something new. He feels inspired.

Their newfound friendships turn into something far more meaningful, and as both Ellie and Leo take part in the joys of the autumn season, they also discover their hearts belong somewhere very different than they ever thought possible.

This new Hallmark movie promises to be very musical. Moreover, singer-songwriter and actress Debbie Gibson is an executive producer of this movie. Will she make a cameo? Viewers will have to watch.

It should also be noted that in the photographs the network shared, Luke Macfarlane is shown playing the cello. That would be real. This is one of the actor’s many talents. Fans of Chateau Christmas also showed him playing the cello.

Notes Of Autumn Is Luke Macfarlane’s First Hallmark LGBTQ+ Role

Although Luke Macfarlane has starred in 12 Hallmark movies, Notes Of Autumn is his first LGBTQ+ role. He has played LGBTQ+ roles in other series like Brothers & Sisters, and the hit romcom Bros., but this is his first for the feel-good network.

Originally, A Magical Christmas Village was supposed to be Luke’s final Hallmark movie, as he joked that he has played all the roles possible, it seems likely that playing an LGBTQ+ role is likely what brought him back. Because there is no publicity now due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, we don’t know this for sure. But, hopefully, this movie means that he will continue to make Hallmark romcoms, as well as his other acclaimed work in the future.

Hallmark fans, are you looking forward to Notes Of Autumn?

  1. No. Sadly it will be another Hallmark movie I will NOT be watching. Why push the LGBTQ+ on a family oriented channel? It goes against my believes. I’m sorry to see the channel bringing more of these roles. I’m getting ready to cancel my subscription.

  2. No I’m not excited! Stop pushing this agenda down our throats. I used to look so so forward to all of the Hallmark Holiday movies but not these. Sad

  3. Sad that some of the favorites are taking on these roles on this particular network, and sadder still that hallmark is sure to shove it down our throats with pretty much every movie at this point. Bye-bye hallmark, rip

  4. I am surprised to learn there are so many homophobic viewers of Hallmark. And what’s with the “shove it down our throats” thing? There are many movies on Hallmark and no one is forcing you to watch any you don’t want to watch. So calm down and focus on the important things in life. You will be much happier!

    1. Wow. Sure wish you had posted this last week. If I  had known this then, I could have warned couple of my gay friends that I’m a homophobic viewer of Hallmark. I’ll be sure to let them know when I’m with them soon. Thanks for sharing the insights you have into our lives.

  5. Freedom is a beautiful thing. Hallmark is free to divert their fortunes into offensive fringe content. I’m free to spend my viewing hours and revenue elsewhere. You lost two lifelong fans, Hallmark. Let us know when you figure things out.
