Eric Braeden's 2021 net worth

Undoubtedly, cancer is an ugly disease that affects far too many people, their families, and friends. Eric Braeden engages with The Young and the Restless fans as he celebrates being cancer-free. German-born actor, Eric Braeden, 82, best known for his portrayal of Victor Newman on the hit soap opera has been on the show for 43 seasons. Notably, that is more than 4,000 episodes that fans have gotten to know Victor through that time. With Eric Braeden’s battle with cancer, he has more than earned the right to retire. However, Braeden says, “hell no.”

Unbeatable Eric Braeden

Undeniably endearing, Eric Braeden had a video chat earlier this month with fans to discuss a little bit of life as he currently knows it. He streamed a live session that included the wonderful news that he is now cancer-free. He candidly spoke about his love for acting and being a part of The Young and the Restless. While on the video he had casual talk and made it very relatable. As an example, he chatted about his granddaughter, discussed his love for acting, talked about visiting different states, and told a story about his first experiences when he came to America. But the best part was how he survived his battle against cancer and how incredibly much he loves his fans.

The Show Must Go On

Earlier this year, The Young and the Restless was recognized for its 50th anniversary. The long-standing show has a history of being one of the most popular American TV shows. Eric Braeden loves his job as an actor. But that hasn’t always been the case. Braeden joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in 1980. Unquestionably, that decision changed his life forever. However, he almost left the show at one point. Crediting the “genius” show creator, William “Bill” Bell, Eric Braeden only opted to stay after Bell wrote a brilliant scene about Victor Newman. Braedon had requested that Bell write some background as to why Victor Newman was a “bad guy.” He wanted it to explain, “Why I was, the bad a– guy that I was,” he noted.

When asked if he planned to retire, by Fox News Digital, Braeden, 82, replied, “No, hell no, no, no.” Furthermore, when asked about his secret to success he said, “The first answer is money,” Braeden replied. “And the second answer, actually, the more profound answer is that I enjoy doing what I’m doing. I really do. I still feel very good about it.” Braeden is truly embracing Mark Twain’s advice: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” ― Mark Twain
