‘Teen Mom’ Leah Messer Says Jaylan Romance ‘Took A Toll’
Teen Mom star Leah Messer says her romance with ex-fiance Jaylan Mobley “took a toll” on her. No sooner had they gotten engaged that the two were calling it quits. It is unclear exactly what precipitated the breakup but now she is sharing how she feels looking back on the broken relationship. Read on for more details.

Leah Messer had two failed marriages in her lifetime. When she was on 16 & Pregnant, she was expecting twins with her boyfriend, Corey Simms. They really did not know each other well but were having twins so they went through their struggles, as seen on Teen Mom. Eventually, the two went on to tie the knot but sadly, they realized it would not work so they ended up divorcing. She then went on to meet Jeremy Calvert. They had a daughter but again, it was not the right fit so she went through her second divorce. It was not easy being a single parent as one of the twins had special needs.
Along with that, Leah Messer was struggling with drug problems, also documented by MTV. Eventually, she cleaned up her act and ended up meeting Jaylan Mobley. The two fell in love and ended up getting engaged. Unfortunately, that fell apart, possibly due to his infidelity. Now, looking back on their romance, Leah has a lot of thoughts about it. According to Us Weekly, she does not necessarily feel that great about how things went down.
“It definitely took a toll and I felt like a failure but I learned a lot. But reflecting on the relationship and even the breakup, I realized it was really a blessing in disguise, and I needed it. I needed to learn to trust my own intuition when something maybe doesn’t feel right or just isn’t working out,” Leah explained. Admittedly, her confidence was dragged down by the breakup and all that went with it. Yet, she has rebuilt and they can get along fine now. That’s really all she wanted in the long run.
Her Daughters’ Sadness
Leah Messer was not the only one who was hurt by the engagement ending. She shared that her three girls felt the pain as they really liked Jaylan a lot. So, they had to experience the pain and heal from what happened, as well. In the end, though, she is grateful that everyone is happy and healthy because that is number one to her. Now, she and Jaylan are moving ahead and happy as they can be.
