Serene Russell Slams Body Shamers After Bikini Post
Bachelor in Paradise alum Serene Russell is not taking anyone’s comments about her body lightly. She slammed body shamers after they commented on her bikini post on social media. Keep reading to see what set her off and how she responded.
Serene Russell slams body shamers
Following her split from Brandon Jones, Serene wasn’t too active on social media for a while. Now, she’s back and she’s showing the world how incredible she is. In one of her latest posts on Instagram, she’s living life to the fullest and rocking a bright orange bikini. The photo was taken in Sarasota, Florida.
She captioned the photo, “My theme color this summer. What’s yours?” Fans mostly told the reality star how gorgeous she is. Many told her that orange is her color. Others even told her they wanted to be like her.
However, there were some that rubbed Serene the wrong way. One fan told her that the needed to gain a little weight. Serene wasn’t having it and she fired back at the fan even though their intentions were most likely not meant to be hurtful. She shared her thoughts on an Instagram Story.
Serene said, “I understand you meant this as a compliment, but no. Please learn that everyone is different and you shouldn’t be commenting on anyone’s body. Take care.”
She didn’t stop there. She continued saying, “No it’s 2023 and people are still commenting on another human’s body??”
Serene also thanked everyone else for the kind comments. She said, “Also, thanks for all the sweet comments, they don’t go unnoticed. Those mean so much more, but sometimes people need to be put in their place because they may do this to someone it’ll really affect and I happened to have time today.”
She has moved on from Brandon
Serene’s split from Brandon Jones was tough on them both. Instead of planning their wedding, they broke up after less than a year together. Now that a few months have passed. Serene appears to be moving on and healing. She’s back on social media and sharing more with fans.
Serene looks better than ever and has shared tons of stunning photos lately of her enjoying the summertime. So far there have been no reports of her dating anyone new since her split from Brandon.
