’90 Day Fiance’ Kalani Finds New Man, Asuelu Gets Infected
90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort premiered Monday, August 14th on TLC. One of the couples attempting to work on their relationship is Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa. Unfortunately, some stuff came out and it was both disturbing and unpleasant. Read on for more details.
90 Day Fiance Kalani Finds New Man, Asuelu Gets Infected
Kalani Faagata and Aseulu Pulaa have headed to 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort to fix their marriage. They have long struggled in their relationship. Kalani felt that Asuelu was not dedicated to their kids or even to her. He was like a big kid himself. Yet, she seemed determined to make the marriage work as he was the first man she had been intimate with. The two met when she was visiting Samoa and he happened to be working where she vacationing. They clicked and eventually, she became pregnant with him moving to America so they could wed and raise their son.
They welcomed a second son but the struggles mounted. While on 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort, it was shown that he had given her a hall pass. This was due to his infidelities which was another huge issue in their marriage. According to People, she did ultimately go forth with this and has since fallen for the man she was with. Prior to this, Kalani explained how Asuelu went to Samoa to see his dad and apparently just kissed a woman. She soon learned it was actually oral so he offered her a hall pass to level the playing field.
Kalani admitted that she took it and made a genuine connection with this person. They went all the way, not just kissing, and ended up being intimate. She shared that she had only ever been with Asuelu, she trusted him implicitly, gave him everything, but she met this new man. More so, she never expected to connect with anyone on a deeper level but realized this connection was what was missing from her marriage. Kalani was still talking to him at the resort which hurt Asuelu.
The Infection
Kalani Faagata knew something more was up with Asuelu when she saw his tongue over FaceTime. She believed it was more than a kiss as his tongue was white (a yeast infection/thrush). Kalani knew that it was either a kiss or something more intimate which was when he confessed. Now, there are a few ways to get thrush. According to the Cleveland Clinic: “Causes include certain medications and some health conditions, such as dry mouth or diabetes.” So, it is not necessary from being intimate with someone.
Now, is it contagious? “In people with healthy immune systems, it’s unusual to pass thrush through kissing or other close contact.” So, this is really hard to tell if the 90 Day Fiance star got it from the person he met in Samoa. Or, if he was predisposed to it due to a health issue. Either way, he should have confessed before Kalani had to press him.
