Ryan Edwards To Live In Halfway House Until His Court Date

MTV’s Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards has now been instructed to live in a halfway house after his 28-day rehab program. Ryan is most known on Teen Mom for being Bentley’s dad and Maci Bookout’s first baby daddy. Maci and Ryan have had drama playing out for almost a decade now. The couple welcomed their son Bentley in October 2008, the duo became engaged briefly in 2009 before calling it quits for good. Ryan and Maci were definitely not the best couple but they haven’t been too good at co-parenting either. In 2018 Ryan threatened Maci and her new husband Taylor Mckinney. Maci was then granted a two-year restraining order against Edwards.

Ryan then married Mackenzie Edwards in 2017. They have since had two beautiful children and seemed to live a wonderful life. That was until Ryan was arrested.

Ryan Edward’s Arrest

Ryan’s relationship with his wife Mackenzie Edwards wasn’t always rocky. That was until February 10th, Ryan was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and harassment. After he violated a protective order that was filed by his wife Mackenzie.  In Touchn Weekly reported Edwards was arrested again on March 1st for stalking and violating the protective order again. Most of the charges from the arrest were dropped during a court hearing on March 14th. He was then ordered to complete six months in rehab after being charged with possession of a controlled substance, although that charge was later dropped.

After just two weeks of treatment, Ryan checked himself out of rehab. Unfortunately, Ryan was found unresponsive in his truck and was arrested again on April 7th. According to the arrest affidavit:

“Ryan was removed from the vehicle and placed in [an ambulance], where he received Narcan and eventually regained consciousness”

The Teen Mom star was initially supposed to serve one year in prison during his court hearing on April 20th. However, the judge went easy on him and gave him a furlough to complete an inpatient rehab program after serving three months of his one-year sentence.

Ryan’s New Temporary Home

Ryan Edward’s most recent hearing was at Hamilton County Sessions Court on Monday, August 14th. Ryan was ordered to live in Oasis halfway house by Judge Gary Starnes after completing 28 days in Cadas rehab program. He will remain in the Oasis halfway house until his next court date on November 6th. Ryan was given a B+ for his behavior during his stay at Cadas by a Cadas representative. He claimed:

“That’s pretty good for Mr. Edwards.”

He added that Ryan Edwards will be placed in family counseling as part of his stay at the Oasis halfway house. All of Ryan’s loved ones are pleased to say he’s doing better than they expected!
