Josh Duggar & Legal Team Hit With Another Loss
Former TLC star Josh Duggar and his legal team have been hit with another loss. The eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids is currently serving a 151-month sentence. But since he was first arrested, his legal team has been trying to change the outcome. Now, they’ve lost once again. Read on to find out more about their latest attempt.
Over the past couple of years, Josh has been in a lot of legal trouble. The father of seven was arrested on child pornography charges and was later found guilty. He was sentenced to 151 months behind bars and is now serving his time. Throughout it all, he has maintained his innocence. His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, and wife, Anna Duggar, reportedly believe he’s innocent as well.
Since he was found guilty, Josh and his team have filed many appeals and have been denied each one. Josh has requested new trials with no luck.

On Monday, August 7, the news broke that Josh and his legal team had been hit with another loss. The official decision reads:
“Joshua Duggar challenges his conviction for receiving child pornography. See 18 U.S.C. § 2252A(a)(2), (b)(1). Although he seeks to suppress incriminating statements and get a new trial, we affirm.”
The document details the outcome of this appeal and offers reasoning behind the government’s decision. In the past, fans and critics with legal expertise have noted that filing appeals after the verdict comes in is fairly common, even though there’s a good chance they’re denied.

This news has been reposted on Facebook, Reddit, and other social media sites so fans are weighing in. Many think it’s time for Josh’s team to throw in the towel and accept his fate.
Others are relieved that Josh Duggar’s kids will be kept safe away from him for several more years.
Someone on Reddit added that Anna Duggar may be very upset by this outcome. The Duggar Snarker teased, “She probably thought he actually had a chance.”
It’s unclear whether Josh and his legal team will continue appealing or if they will be done after this loss. In the most recent appeal, there were no new arguments or evidence. All of it seems to overlap with his previous appeals.
