Bachelor Nation shared what Gabby Windey had to say about how her family reacted when she shared with them that she was dating a woman. She didn’t tell them at first because she wanted to see how it would go. When things kept going well she became excited to share the shocking yet exciting news with them.
For once, Gabby shared that she could see a future the way she always wanted it. Since they live in different states, Gabby Facetimed them to tell them the news. After they picked their jaws up off the floor, they told their daughter that they just want her to be happy. So far, she has not said what Grandpa John had to say.
Gabby said, “Yeah, that meant a lot. They have really been supportive. I do kind of come from a conservative family in a very heteronormative world. I was obviously on dating shows dating men. I was a Broncos cheerleader for five years, so my whole world was kind of male-gazey. I feel like it’s not something that my parents ever imagined for me. I think it’s going to take some time, like, for the rest of the world and, like, for me. It took me a while to stop questioning and just start trusting. Now I’m fully trusted and I’m here.”

Gabby has shared numerous photos of herself and of Robby Hoffman since sharing the big news. When she first shared that she is dating a woman, she shared a video saying she knows people have been curious about who she has been dating.
She revealed it took a bit for her to trust what she was feeling. However, now, she fully trusts and she is very happy.
