For those who may not know, Allie is the eldest of John Webster and Alyssa Bates’ five children. She’s eight years old. Their other kids include Lexi, Zoey, Maci, and Rhett. According to John and Alyssa, Rhett is their final baby. Currently, Alyssa is homeschooling her four daughters. They also attend a homeschool co-op, which allows them to take classes with other homeschooled children once or twice per week.
Online, Alyssa has offered a glimpse into their homeschool days. Now, things are getting pretty raw and real, prompting fans to feel sad for Allie.
Allie Webster has a sad confession.
This past week on YouTube, Alyssa posted a video of her four daughters answering fans’ questions. Before filming the video, she posted on her Instagram Stories, asking her followers to send in questions. The girls answered a few different questions about their favorite desserts, what they like about school, whether they get along with each other, and more.
One Bringing Up Bates fan wanted to know whether they like being homeschooled. Allie said no a few times. Then, Alyssa double-checked with her daughter and asked if she likes homeschooling. Allie made her feelings clear, adding, “I don’t.”
Bringing Up Bates fans are heartbroken & want justice.
On Reddit, fans are discussing this in a couple of different threads. Some fans are curious to know whether this is a frequent discussion in the Websters’ home. Others fear that Allie dislikes homeschooling because she has to help out with her younger siblings so much.
In another Reddit thread, fans are hoping justice is served for Allie’s sake. One fan said, “It was so sad hearing how much Allie doesn’t like homeschooling.”
Another added, “Allie is super smart and needs more engagement and motivation than Alyssa and a video screen can give her. She’s probably bored because she isn’t being challenged.”
Many are hopeful that Alyssa will hear her daughter’s wishes and make changes to the way she’s currently educating them. But others fear that there will be no justice for Allie.

Allie is still a little girl and honestly doesn’t have a clue what is best for her life at this time concerning school. That’s why she has her parents to guide her. They are smart and I’m sure have the wisdom to bring her up in the right way for now. There will come a time when Allie will be old enough to start making decisions on her own. This is not the time.
