Is Mama June: Family Crisis Season 6 On Break Or Over?
When Mama June: Family Crisis aired its final episode of Season 6, a lot had just happened. Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson revealed she had been accepted into college in Colorado. Plus, June finally had her lavish vow renewal with all four of her girls walking her down the aisle. Sadly, in the last five minutes and two weeks after the wedding, they received bad news. June’s eldest daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell had stage 4 cancer. This was a blow to everyone, especially after the high that they had just been on.
So, will Family Crisis be back for a second half of Season 6 to pick up where they left off or are they done for now? This is a big question for Mama June fans, so much so that they started a Reddit thread. The OP started with this: “Is the season on it mid season break????” The question makes sense as the season only had 10 episodes and missed one week due to Memorial Day. Fellow Redditors were quick to chime in to share their thoughts.
“I think it finished,” one responded. Another added: “I think it is over this season and I heard they did renew and are going to film Alana college.. but who knows?” Someone also shared that Love During Lockup came back so that means Mama June is done for now. There have even been previews for Love After Lockup coming next month so that means it will be quite some time before fans get the family back. Usually after LAL, Life After Lockup airs so it could be next year before Family Crisis comes back to WeTV.
Currently Filming?
According to Mama June’s daughter, Pumpkin, they are currently back to filming. As to what they will be capturing is unknown but Honey Boo Boo just left for college so that could be huge. Plus, Anna’a cancer battle has affected everyone. Seeing the family come together in a different manner other than a wedding will be nice. It will also be bittersweet to watch Alana head off on her college journey with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell.
