‘Big Brother 25’ & ‘Survivor’ Collide With These Two Houseguests
It’s a reality show collision! The houseguests were just revealed for Big Brother 25 and it turns out, two of them have ties to Survivor. Keep reading to find out more about the new houseguests and how they have connections to both Survivor and Big Brother.
Survivor and Big Brother collide
The houseguests for the long-awaited Season 25 of Big Brother have finally been announced. While the cast seems to be full of a wide range of characters, two have ties to another hit reality show. In fact, they are both relatives of Survivor competitors. Does that mean an alliance is looming in the future?
Big Brother shared a video yesterday of all the houseguests introducing themselves. Many of them gave themselves titles or personas that viewers can expect to see while they are in the house. However, two of the houseguests stood out amongst the rest.
Fans were shocked to learn that both Cory Wurtenberger and Jared Fields have ties to another reality TV show – Survivor. Of course, CBS left this bit of info out in their bios at first, however, fans were able to identify them quickly. Both Cory and Jared are family members of former Survivor contestants.
Us Weekly reveals that Cory Wurtenberger is the little brother of Survivor 42‘s Zach Wurtenberger. While Zach was second to go home during his season, he was still a self-proclaimed superfan of the show. It will be interesting to see if Cory also suffers such an early fate, or, if he is able to battle it out until the end.
Meanwhile, Jared Fields also has a very strong tie to CBS and Survivor. His mom is Survivor icon, Cirie Fields. Despite not winning her season of the show, Cirie was loved by fans and eventually went on to win Peacock’s The Traitors. So, it would seem Jared has quite a bit of reality TV knowledge to back him through his journey in the BB house.
Who else will be on the show?
Of course, the video Big Brother shared featured all of the other non-reality star relative houseguests as well. The cast this season includes Red Utley, DJ Bowie Jane, Blue Kim, Cameron Hardin, America Lopez, Izzy Gleicher, Hisam Goueli, Felicia Cannon, Jag Bains, Reilly Smedley, Mecole Hayes, Luke Valentine, Matt Klotz, and Kirsten Elwin.
Overall, the cast seems to be getting mixed reviews so far, however, it seems there are a lot of people who are excited to see such an expansive cast this season.
