‘OutDaughtered’ Fans Feel Sad For Blayke Busby
Some OutDaughtered viewers really sympathize with Blayke Busby as the new season continues.
Fans were delighted to learn that a new season was coming to TLC this summer. But since Season 9 aired, some can’t help but feel for Blayke.
Growing up in a house with so many children definitely presents some challenges here and there. But what are fans saying about the oldest Busby daughter?
Does Blayke Busby of OutDaughtered ever get to be a child?
Now that OutDaughtered is on TLC again, fans are excited to see the Busbys back in action. However, a few fans are worried about Blayke Busby. The 12-year-old is supposed to be growing and discovering the world around her. But some viewers think that her parents might be taking advantage of her.
“Poor girl does not have a normal childhood. She has become a second mother to the quints. When does she get a chance to be a kid?” one Redditor stated on the platform recently.
The original poster seemed pretty firm in their beliefs. However, the replies yielded a mixed bag of reactions.
“Blayke has taken on a mother-figure role and Adam has too, more than just dad,” one Redditor agreed with the OP. “Danielle is always on the go go go! Blayke is well-rounded but still, it has to be hard for her. This season is boring so far.”
But not everyone felt that way.
“Yeah I don’t see that at all. I also don’t feel that watching a TV show is enough to warrant such a harsh opinion on the quality of her upbringing,” someone offered a differing opinion.
This family structure isn’t uncommon in large families. However, there are likely many other fans out there who wish Blayke had more time to just be a carefree child.
Are the Busbys in danger of being the next Gosselins?
As some Redditors express concern for Blayke Busby, others can’t help but compare the Busbys to the Gosselins.
“They create their own unmanageable chaos,” a Redditor suggested in another thread. “They continue to put more and more demands on themselves then complain about how they can’t keep up. At what cost? Danielle is a watered down Kate Gosselin with a better hair cut.”
Many others agreed and it’s not hard to see why. The Gosselins also struggled to give each child enough love and attention. And in 2023, the family is back in the headlines over horrific allegations.
Fans hope nothing like that ever happens to the Busbys. But many would like to see Adam and Danielle give Blayke the chance to explore her childhood a bit more.

This is a tv SHOW people. Don’t be judging anyone else’s life, just take care of your own. You have no idea what goes on in this family’s off-camera. If you want to watch and enjoy the show, then do so. If you’re not happy with it, then watch something else. It’s negative comments like some of these that cause individuals hurtful and negative issues in their lives.
