The Doubling Down With the Derricos family hits the road.
On Instagram on Thursday, Karen Derrico gave fans a peek into her car during their recent road trip. To get their whole family to their destination, the Derricos had to split up and take several cars. They drove from Las Vegas, Nevada to New York so Darian could attend a four-week intensive dramatic writing program through the Tisch School of the Arts. The young lady was accepted into NYU and was eager to take part in this summer program too.
Getting from Vegas to New York was quite the task. The whole family tagged along and made stops along the way. They also had the chance to be on GMA3 once they arrived in the city. In a comment, Karen told fans just how long this trek was. She said it took “8 days there and 5 days back to Vegas!”

While on their road trip to New York, Karen’s carload of kids filmed a fun video. They put Super Bass by Nicki Minaj on the speakers and sang every word together. It looks like this song is a favorite of the Derrico kids as they got very into it. It looks like they found ways to enjoy themselves, even though they were stuck in the car for days!
In the caption of her Instagram post, Karen said, “Daician was in the back sleeping.”

Despite the Derricos having fun in the car on the way to New York, Karen made it clear they won’t be driving that far again. She said, “NOT HAPPENING AGAIN!! 😂😂😂 at least no time soon for sure!”

Of course, Karen’s Instagram followers are loving this video and they appreciate how the Derricos keep every moment fun. Someone said, “I just absolutely love how y’all are always singing always being happy.” Another fan complimented their performance and said, “You girls nailed it!!!”
Her followers also got a good laugh out of Daician snoozing in the backseat despite all of the noise and excitement in the car.
