She took to social media to let her followers know all about what’s new in Darian’s life. At 17 years old, she’s going through many changes. What’s the latest one? What’s new with Darian Derrico?
In case you missed it, the Derrico family made an appearance on GMA3 earlier this month. Thanks to this interview, fans learned that there are big changes happening for Darian. She recently landed a job, and she was accepted to New York University.
But that’s not all that’s going on in her life. Her proud mom took to social media to inform fans of another big update.
On Instagram on Saturday, Karen shared a new video with fans. It was recorded by her eldest daughter, Darian, who’s currently away. In the video, Darian explained to viewers what she’s up to and what big things are happening in her life.

Darian is currently at NYU enjoying a four-week intensive dramatic writing program through the Tisch School of the Arts. While she’s “learning a lot” about dramatic writing, she’s also had the chance to learn many other things. She’s gaining an understanding of what it means to be on her own. She’s also picking up a lot of important life skills. In her video, she described it as a “great experience.”
The first week was an adjustment as she felt homesick. It hit her harder than she expected, and it sunk in that she’d be there alone without her parents for about a month.
