Why Dotun Olubeko Never Warned Charity Lawson About Brayden
Brayden Bowers was deemed the villain on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette. Fans were eager for the earring-loving, Army veteran to go home after his frequent outbursts. It finally happened and Charity sent him home. Other guys in the house warned her about him and shared some of his wrongdoings. However, Dotun Olubeko did not share information with Charity. Why? Keep reading to find out more.
Dotun Olubeko never told Charity Lawson about Brayden’s devious side, why?
Front runner Dotun Olubeko spoke with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and shared why he never warned Charity Lawson about Brayden Bowers.
His response was very mature and made sense. Dotun said, “My approach to the Brayden situation and to life, in general, is that I don’t do drama. I don’t think there is a lot of value in drama. Generally, things fall into place as they should. I would have never gone to her about him.”
Of course, that didn’t stop others from running to her with their warnings. It took a few episodes but she saw the light and sent him packing.
As for Dotun, he was focused on building his relationship with Charity. Serena and Joe noted that Dotun did not ever bring up another man’s name during his aired conversations with Charity.
He said, “My whole goal was to just build on the relationship I had with Charity in the time I had with her. The time is already so limited that I couldn’t fathom for a second talking about someone else. I don’t think there was a single time when I even mentioned someone else’s name.”
Dotun also admits he sees that Brayden was having a hard time swallowing the other dates Charity was on. He noted it is very stressful and it’s tough. It’s not about winning anything at all. So, while he can see where Brayden was coming from, he thought it could have been handled differently. He also said, “If you want to go home, do it on your own accord like a man and leave instead of having this back and forth. He was sucking the air out of the room in a way.”
Dotun doesn’t mind that the other men went to Charity. However, for himself, he was just going to sit back and observe.
Brayden’s goodbye
After Charity sent Brayden home, he went to Instagram to share his thoughts. He is thankful for the experience and does wish nothing but the best for Charity.
He also said, “To Bachelor Nation: I appreciate all the love and support I have received from many of you! I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but it means a lot that many of you have come to my defense! Much love y’all! ❤️🙏”
Of course, not everyone disliked Brayden. In fact, one of his old buddies shared good things about him recently. Plus, fans also know how producers can step in with edits to totally change one’s character.
It has not been revealed yet if Brayden will be making an appearance in the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Are you disappointed or happy to see Brayden go? What do you think of Dotun saying he doesn’t do drama?
