Jon Gosselin Spent His Last Penny To Save Son, Collin
Jon Gosselin called out his ex-wife, Kate for years and now that he stars on Vice TV’s Dark Side of the 2000s docuseries, he claims that it cost him just about all his cash to save his son Collin. TLC fans know the family because when they all starred in Jon & Kate Plus 8, toxic scenes blew up and they continue to this day. Kate sent Collin away to an institution for three years, and Jon spent more than a few pennies to get him out and into his own custody.
Jon Gosselin & Kate Raised Eight Children
The reality TV show premiered in 2007 and eventually, the network canned it. During its run, fans got to meet all the kids. Collin and Hannah who now love with their dad were two of the sextuplets. Meanwhile, Mady and Cara were the older twins. Unfortunately for Collin, he lost contact with his dad and his other sibling when he ended up in a psychiatric institution in Philadelphia. It’s common knowledge that Kate felt that her son needed help with “special needs,” but new truth bombs suggest otherwise.
Jon Gosselin revealed that Kate allegedly never told him much about his son. In fact, he wasn’t aware of the place where he ended up. However, Collin smuggled out a note to his father, and a big custody fight began. Additionally, the first step involved getting Collin out of institutionalized life. For years, Team Kate slammed her ex-husband, but now, a few minds change thanks to frank interviews on Dark Side of the 2000s. Right now, Collin looks forward to joining the Marines. Old enough to speak out, he’s certainly doing just that.
Kate Gosselin definitely needs to be in prison for what she did to her poor son, I'm so sad watching this documentary that Jon and Colin did

Sadly Reality TV, Jon and Kate plus 8, has shown that peeking into to the minds of individuals that should never have been on TV. I know I wasn’t the only person who saw Kate Gosselin’s demeanor and her treatment of Jon and one of her children and was troubled by it! #PoorKids

Jon Gosselin Appalled By The Institutionalization Of Collin
During the docuseries on VICE TV, Hannah backed up her brother’s stories of abuse. Allegedly, Kate wouldn’t allow him to eat with the other kids. In fact, separated, he couldn’t even play with them. Somehow, it seems terrible that a kid who went through that only speaks with his sister Hannah and his dad. The separation wasn’t his fault, and he thinks his mom sent him away because he started mentioning his separation to other people. Of course, that made his dad desperate to get him back.
Jon Gosselin lashed out a lot of money because psych evaluations don’t come cheap. Neither do lawyers and very good doctors. InTouch Weekly reported that he spent “$1 Million to get…Collin out of [a] psychiatric hospital.” During an interview on VICE, he said, “Everything I had, I spent,” as he talked about the various requirements to prove that Coillin didn’t need to be where he was held. While her husband seems angry, Collin seems hurt but probably hopes his mom might speak with him again one day.
Heartbreaking Allegations & Stories
Fans who now heard that Jon Gosselin spent all his money getting Collin back feel happy with the outcome. Seeing the young adult talk about his time in the institution sounds absolutely heartbreaking. He said, “It was a really, really dark place. All I had was myself. I didn’t have anybody else. You know, I had no support system. It was scary. I was confused. I was lost.”

The man barely works. I have no doubt he may have spent all he day, as it wasn’t much to begin with. Maybe he should have thought about that before he decided to have children.
