Breaking news for Bravo fans — Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Bensimon is officially ENGAGED to her boyfriend, Scott Litner.

According to an exclusive report from E! News, a representative of Kelly Bensimon confirms her boyfriend of one year popped the question over Independence Day weekend. And, she said yes. 

At 55 years old, the Bravo personality tells E! News in an official statement that she had no idea she could find this kind of happiness or feel this type of love at this later stage of life.

“I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning. We have a romance that people write novels about.”

Kelly and her 54-year-old financial executive boyfriend were vacationing in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for Independence Day weekend when he officially popped the question. Turns out, Lake Geneva is one of Kelly’s favorite places to go in the summer.

The lovebirds were on a romantic boat ride when Scott Litner presented her with a five-carat custom emerald cut diamond engagement ring that he purchased from a jeweler called Material Good in New York City.

Kelly added to her official statement on her engagement: “I was so moved that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose.”

She Has Largely Kept Her Relationship Private

Unfortunately, fans of Kelly Bensimon haven’t gotten to see much of her relationship with Scott as she has chosen to keep it private and out of the spotlight. Sadly, this means Kelly also doesn’t have any cute couple photos on her social media profiles for fans to swoon over.

Now, Kelly Bensimon did surface for the first time since getting engaged just yesterday to attend a Bravo party. On July 9th, she attended the premiere party for Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. Rocking a gorgeous fishnet dress with a black bikini underneath, she had the opportunity to reunite with several of her former RHONY co-stars including Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Dorinda Medley.

This Isn’t Her First Walk Down The Aisle

As those who have followed Kelly Bensimon’s love life know, this isn’t her first trip down the aisle. She was married to Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2006. Kelly shares two children with Gilles (Sea and Teddy). Her children are currently in their 20s.

Today, the Bravo personality makes a living working in luxury real estate. She also will return to TV soon as a cast member on Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy. Unfortunately, this Peacock special doesn’t have a premiere date just yet.
