Here is what the Ripped From The Headlines movie Abducted By My Teacher is all about. According to The Futon Critic, 15-year-old high school student Elizabeth Thomas is struggling to make friends. However, one of the most “trusted and beloved” teachers at the school, Tad Cummins, starts to notice her.
Despite being married, he begins to groom her. He starts out making her “feel safe and loved.” However, things get intense when another student sees him kissing Elizabeth. Moreover, that student reports this incident to the school.
Now, Mr. Cummins wants her to run away with him. The two go on the run, while a nationwide manhunt goes underway. Finally, after one month, they find the teacher and student in Northern California. When they are found, the police arrest Tad Cummins.
When Elizabeth Thomas returns home, she has to deal with negativity towards her. Although she was sexually abused by her trusted teacher, the townsfolk accused her of being responsible for her kidnapping.
Finally, the time comes for her to go to court. Can she be brave enough to tell the court about her ordeal so that her abuser can get the punishment he deserves?
