Joy Forsyth Shares Emotional Words About Baby Gone Too Soon

Joy Forsyth suffers a tragic loss.
Four years ago, Joy tragically lost her second baby. She and her husband, Austin Forsyth, were expecting a second child after welcoming their son, Gideon, to the world. They were thrilled to be growing their family. Sadly, about halfway through her pregnancy, Joy received the devastating news that her baby no longer had a heartbeat.
She took to social media to share about this back in 2019. The Forsyths learned that the baby was a girl and they named her Annabell Elise.
After losing Annabell, Austin and Joy Forsyth have welcomed two more kiddos to their family. Evelyn is almost three years old and Gunner is one month old. Despite the joy that has come over the past few years, the couple is still taking time to recognize the little one they lost.
The former TLC shares emotional words while remembering her lost little one.
In a new YouTube video, which Joy Forsyth uploaded this weekend, she and her husband sit down to remember their little girl. They talked about Joy’s pregnancy with Annabell and the tragic events that they lived through.
When Joy was 19 weeks pregnant, she noticed that her baby had stopped moving. Then, at her 20-week appointment, the ultrasound technician was unable to find a heartbeat. Joy reflected on that moment and said, “My heart just sunk. I was like, ‘This can’t be happening.'”

The Duggar daughter explained that she felt like she was to blame for her daughter’s death because she had been riding heavy machinery in the days prior.
After learning of this loss, the couple chose to move forward with an induction, giving them an opportunity to see their daughter and take photos. Joy revealed one of the hardest parts of the labor and delivery, noting, “At the end of the day, you’re going to go home, and your arms are going to be empty.”
Once they saw Annabell, they realized she looked just like Gideon, despite her only developing to the halfway point in Joy’s pregnancy.
Austin and Joy Forsyth took time to grieve, but eventually, they wanted to have another baby. They ultimately decided that they would “not let fear keep us from…enjoying the baby.” They have now welcomed two more healthy children to their family.
