Joy Duggar Shares Special Gift Honoring Stillborn Baby Annabell
In June 2019, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth tragically lost a baby at 20 weeks gestation. They opened up about the loss on social media and shared the news with fans who knew they were expecting. They named the baby Annabell Elise.
When they shared the heartbreaking news, fans surrounded them with words of encouragement. They received a lot of support from their followers on social media. While this couldn’t take away all of the pain, it likely helped to make things a little easier on the grieving couple.

This was an especially hard loss for the family because three other Duggar women were also due in November like Joy was. So, in addition to grieving the loss, she was surrounded by babies born at the same time her daughter would have been.
Prior to her sisters having their babies, Joy kept a positive mindset and said, “I thought it was going to be a lot harder being around… because there are three sisters that are due the same time I was. But I was praying that the Lord would help me be excited for them. And I can honestly say that … I’m super excited for them. But I try and ask them a lot how they’re doing, how they’re feeling because this is an exciting time. They have little blessings that they’re adding to their family.”
At this time, the couple hasn’t announced another pregnancy. Shortly after the loss, Joy said she was going to give her body time to heal before getting pregnant again. Duggar fans are starting to speculate that she might be pregnant again, but only time will tell. She might still need more time before she has another baby.
Joy-Anna Duggar posts sentimental gift she received
On social media Saturday, Joy-Anna shared a special gift she received from a friend. She shared a photo of the framed artwork. It features herself, Austin, and their son Gideon. Off to the side, Jesus is holding their daughter Annabell. Joy is holding hands with Jesus.
Along with the picture, Joy said, “I’ve always said ‘My little girl is in the arms of Jesus’, but this visual always makes me tear up!😌Such a good reminder. Thankful for this sweet gift!”
Several fans asked Joy where she got the gift. She said that a friend made it and gave it to her. Online stores sometimes make meaningful gifts like these as well.
