Doubling Down With the Derricos fans are getting an update on Deon Derrico’s mom, Marian’s health. She’s best known as GG on the show and is very loved by fans. Sadly, GG had to undergo open heart surgery after dealing with concerning symptoms. Though she seemed to be doing well, she was hit with a lung cancer diagnosis. She had previously been diagnosed in 2014, and it, unfortunately, came back after her heart surgery.

How is GG doing as of 2023?
In the current season of the show, fans are getting a glimpse into GG’s lung cancer battle. She has been hesitant to see an oncologist again, so she is also seeking out alternative medicine.
In a tweet this weekend, Deon Derrico let his followers know how his mom is doing now. He didn’t share many details, but he did reassure fans with a positive update. He said, “GG is doing much better.”
