Honey Boo Boo Fights Back, Not Like Mama June
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo‘ Thompson is fighting back, saying she is nothing like her mother, Mama June Shannon. Now that she is getting older, the comparisons between the two are far stronger. Honey Boo Boo Fights Back, Not Like Mama June
Since 2019, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson has lived with her older sister, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin‘ Efird. Their mother, Mama June had gotten caught up in drugs and was in a lot of trouble. Therefore, Alana needed a safe haven which was something that Pumpkin and her husband, Josh could provide. Eventually, June got sober and was in a much better place. She left her boyfriend and decided to come back to Georgia to be with her girls. Then, she left and found love in Alabama, met Justin Stroud, and tied the knot secretly. This was a twist for her whole family.
Around the same time, Mama June signed over custody of Alana to Pumpkin but did not appreciate having to pay child support. Now that the new season of Family Crisis is airing, it is a whole new ballgame. June is trying to mend fences with her daughters while planning a lavish wedding. At the same time, Alana is a senior and Pumpkin is trying to get her to take college applications seriously. She has accused Alana of acting like June but now they are all on a retreat with Dr. Ish in the upcoming episode and this comment comes up.

According to The Sun, Mama June shared a clip from Friday, June 30th’s episode on her Instagram. Alana admits that she is tired of being compared to her mother by Dr. Ish, June, and Pumpkin. “I’m mad that these three right here think that I act like my mama,” she shares. When asked by Ish why it gets to her so much, she explains that she does not feel like she’s similar to June.
Get That Anger Out
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson does not just share that she is not like Mama June, she uses a punching bag. She takes a bat to it three times. In the end, she confesses that people compare her to June because she has other people chauffeur her around. Now, Mama June is blind so she always has someone in the driver’s seat. As for Alana, she explains why she does not want to drive yet. “Honestly, I’m scared to drive. I’m scared that something may happen and I may get in a wreck and I may not be here anymore. That really scares me.”
