Police Visit Duggar Family’s Property
YouTuber Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball reported that the police visited Jim Bob and Michelle’s property at 8:26 a.m. At the time, fans had very little information about this situation. Just after the police showed up, Jim Bob sent his kids to church.
According to the official log, the visit was for a “follow up investigation.” However, fans had no idea what this could be about, sparking lots of speculation via social media. After Josh’s child pornography crimes, fans have wondered if there might be more legal trouble for the former TLC stars.
Cause Of Visit Revealed: What’s Going On?
Now, the cause of the police visit to the Duggar family’s home has been revealed. On Tuesday evening, Katie Joy took to social media to reveal that Jim Bob’s uncle, Tommy Lester, has passed away. Tommy is the brother of the late Mary Duggar.
Sadly, Tommy died of cardiac arrest early on Sunday morning, according to WOACB. His husband, Lawrence, found him after he collapsed on the bathroom floor. He was then pronounced dead. In the police report, Lawrence explained that Tommy hadn’t been feeling well and that he had fallen several times recently. But Tommy didn’t want to go to the hospital to be checked out. It turned out to be very serious though.
After Tommy’s death, the police went to Jim Bob’s home to notify him.

In her post, Katie Joy pointed out that Deanna, Jim Bob’s sister, was not notified of Tommy’s passing. According to Deanna’s daughter, Amy King, “the family had been mostly estranged from Tommy for decades.” Fans may not know about Tommy at all. So, it’s unclear why Jim Bob was notified.
