Hallmark’s second Christmas In July movie, Take Me Back For Christmas stars Corey Sevier and Vanessa Lengies. Best of all, this holiday movie has tons of Christmas magic. Here is more information on what this romance is about, and when it will premiere on Hallmark.

What Is Hallmark’s Take Me Back For Christmas About?

According to the Hallmark synopsis, years ago Renée and her husband Aaron moved back to her mom’s house in the suburbs. They returned to help her mom out when she got sick. The move meant that Renée gave up her dream of starting her own business.

Now, a decade later, Renée is unhappy with her life. Her job at a small gift shop is not fulfilling. She realizes this position is leading her on the road to nowhere. Worst of all, the bills are mounting because she doesn’t make good money. She feels her dissatisfaction has affected her once-happy marriage.

One day, an elf who runs a Santa display makes Renée an irresistible offer. The elf tells Renée to make a Christmas wish. Renée doesn’t think it over. She is exasperated with her life and blurts out her wish. Renée asks to live in New York City and be the CEO of the number one meal-kit delivery company. Suddenly, she wakes up to this reality.

The best part of the wish is her mom is still alive. As with all stories about wishes, there is a negative consequence of her wish. She is not married to Aaron. Instead, he became a top chef. Renée decides he is the perfect guy to help develop a Christmas meal kit and figures out a way to meet him.

Corey Sevier Directing Wife Kate Pragnell’s Script

Hallmark fans will find Take Me Back For Christmas extra fun because of the talent behind this movie. Corey Sevier is the director. His wife Kate Pragnall wrote the script.

Venessa Lengies and Corey Sevier starred in the 2021 movie Heart Of The Holidays, which was also written by Pragnall, and directed by Sevier. Lengies and Sevier have been acting since they were pre-teens. According to an interview with Slice, Vanessa Lengies believes their long-time friendship is why they have such great chemistry onscreen. “When you see great love stories, hear great loves stories, or live great love stories–you know that those people are deep friends before there’s lusty, sexy chemistry.”
