When Pump Rules started, Katie Maloney had a neck-length cut that ended up evolving over time. By Season 4, it had grown out and in Season 8, she had luscious long locks. Then, in Season 9, she went and chopped her hair up to her chin, which her now ex-husband, Tom Schwartz called a “Karen” cut once. Yet, she seemed to be starting to grow into her new vibe and then, she asked Schwartz for a divorce. Her hair became shorter and sleeker but now, she has gone to another level.

The other night, Katie Maloney debuted an even shorter, piecey, choppy cut on Instagram. In the caption, she simply wrote: “Torn” which is a reference to the 1997 Natalie Imbruglia song.

Immediately, her co-stars went to the comments to tell her how much they loved it. Katie’s Something About Her business partner, Ariana Madix wrote: “i’m DYING OMG 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.” Scheana Shay followed that up with: “👏🏼caption 🔥hair” and Lala Kent added: “I die I die I die.” Of course, Pump Rules alum and Katie Maloney’s best friend, Stassi Schroeder chimed in: “I AM SO OBSESSED. STUNNING DOESNT EVEN DO IT JUSTICE.”

In her stories, after she cut her hair, Katie noted that she just keeps going shorter. She seems to really like the nineties vibe, going to EMO Nite with her co-stars and then on her own with VPR alum, Dayna Kathan. Her followers were equally as in love with her new look as her friends were. They not only loved the chop but the “Torn” reference. One fan, however, initially thought that it said “Tom” and had to look twice. It seems that Katie is really coming into herself post-divorce.

A New Chapter

Things are really looking up for Katie Maloney. Not only has Vanderpump Rules been renewed for another season but the ratings for this past year were insanely high. Furthermore, she and Ariana Madix have been documenting their process as they continue to get closer to their sandwich shop opening. They have been trying out bread and having a great time together, which can be seen on their Something About Her TikTok. All in all, it seems that 2023 is the year of Katie.
