Bringing Up Bates star Erin Bates and her husband, Chad Paine, have shared a sweet gender reveal for baby number six! The couple already shares five kids, but they are thrilled to be adding another little one to their crew. They have one boy, Carson, and four girls, Brooklyn, Holland, Finley, and Everly. Will their next baby be a boy or a girl?
Chad and Erin’s sixth little one is due to arrive in December 2023. Since announcing their pregnancy in May, they have shared a few updates. Of course, fans have been curious to know whether this one is a boy or a girl. For a long time, Carson has been praying for a little brother. Now, the moment is finally here, and fans are finding out what the newest addition’s gender is.

Erin and Chad revealed their baby’s gender when her mom, Kelly Jo Bates, was in town. For the occasion, Chad hung a pinata outside for the kids to break open. The kids took turns hitting the pinata, hoping to break it open and learn their newest sibling’s gender.
Prior to the big reveal, Kelly Jo admitted that she thinks it’s a girl, but she would love for Carson to finally have a brother after having four younger sisters.

In the video, Chad Paine had to step in and assist with the pinata when the kiddos couldn’t break it open, and he got it in no time. When he busted it open, blue candy spilled out. It’s a boy!
Later, the family also popped a cannon, which sent blue smoke and confetti into the sky.
All of the kids seemed very excited, but Carson was especially happy. Chad Paine and Erin Bates admitted that Carson has cried that he doesn’t have a brother.
