Chad and Erin currently have five young kids, Carson, 7, Brooklyn, 6, Everly, 5, Holland, 3, and Finley, 1. This pregnancy news comes as a shock because before she was pregnant with Finley, she had one and two-thirds of her ovaries removed. It didn’t seem likely that she would be able to conceive again. Some fans believed that their family would be complete with four kids.
However, she gave birth to her healthy baby girl in January 2022. And now, another baby is joining the crew!

On Saturday, May 13, Chad Paine and Erin Bates took to YouTube to share a new video with fans. In it, they revealed that they are expecting their sixth little one! The couple is over the moon excited about this new addition joining their family very soon.
At this time, they don’t know the gender. It sounds like most of their daughters are hoping for another sister but of course, Carson is still holding out for a little brother. He’s the oldest of his siblings and is the only boy so far.
How did the Bringing Up Bates stars share the news with their kids?
In the video, the couple documented the special way they shared this big announcement with their five kiddos. They took the kids on a scavenger hunt around the house, giving them clues and surprising them each with a gift. Carson’s gift was a sketchbook and art supplies. On the first page of the sketchbook, Erin had written that she is having a baby! She also taped a sonogram photo to the page.
The kids are very excited and are already discussing names and genders, as shown in the video.
