What Is Hallmark’s A Lifelong Love About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Annika is an “aspiring poet,” who just had her book pitch rejected. Street photographer Ryan, who also happens to be Annika’s ex, also unsuccessfully pitched a book. Both have watched their dreams stall.
The other thing they both have in common is that they are broke. However, it now looks like they have an unexpected profit center. They have been assigned by Annika’s grandfather, Abe, to find his old flame. This was his lifelong love. But, circumstances or people separated these two lovebirds. Now, Abe wants to find Ruth Barlowe.
Abe wants Annika and Ryan to search for Ruth. In addition, he wants the former couple to document their entire journey. This includes some red herrings and some real leads.
Now, Annika and Ryan start their search. Soon, the old feelings come back. Time has been a salve, healing their previous wounds. They are learning more about each other, and they both like what they have uncovered.
This has thrown off Annika’s ability to write “off-the-cuff poetry.” Moreover, she cannot stop her “perfectionist tendencies.” Annika is never satisfied with her writing, how the search is going, or even how she interacts with Ryan.
Although she now has a potential publication interested in her poetry, she is getting into her own way. “With so much at stake, Annika must learn to embrace this new challenge, even if it means abandoning her old, comfortable habits.”
