JoJo Fletcher, Jordan Rodgers Almost Didn’t Survive First Year
The Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are one of the success stories of the franchise. However, it turns out they almost didn’t survive their first year together. They talked about it more as they prepare for the premiere of the divorced dating show they are hosting called The Big D. Keep reading to find out more.
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers almost didn’t make it through their first year
Falling in love on reality television is no doubt difficult. Bachelor Nation couples have said over and over it’s hard to maintain a healthy relationship in the public eye. Plus, once the show stops filming, the couples really have to get to know one another off-camera. Sometimes that turns out bad.
For JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, they also had a difficult first year. In fact, they both said it was so tough it would have been easy to just walk away from their relationship. However, they stuck it out and worked through their issues. Look at them now, together seven years and just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary.
In a recent interview with RealiTea with Derek Z, JoJo and Jordan admitted they almost parted ways during that first year. She said, “I will say we have not shied away from this but the first year coming off of The Bachelorette was hard for us.” JoJo continued, “It was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were moments in that first year where we almost broke up and parted ways.”
She added, “We had those moments but we made the choice to lean into our relationship and to stick it out and put in the work. We knew that we loved each other but we also knew there was a lot we needed to work on.”
Marriage isn’t perfect
JoJo also said that couples don’t just get married and then everything is perfect. She went on to say that no relationship is perfect and no individual is perfect. However, to be a successful couple there has to be a realization that you’re on the same team and continuously trying to be a better version of yourself.
She said it takes work every day to try and be a better version of yourself for your significant other.
They have found a way to make the relationship work that is beneficial for them both. They joke around all the time and they truly enjoy their moments together including work.
What do you think about JoJo and Jordan almost not surviving their first year?
