What sorts of storylines should Hearties expect in the upcoming WCTH season? First, we need to start at the end of When Calls The Heart Season 9. Of course, the biggest news is that Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Lucas (Chris McNally) got engaged. Also, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) Coulter announced they are having a baby.
According to Parade, who got the exclusive Hallmark story on the upcoming season, the Lucabeth romance “continues.” Also, the Coulters prepare for their new baby.
Also, Mei (Amanda Wong) will be “facing her ex in court.” There is no mention of Nathan (Kevin McGarry). Will he be there to support her? Will their romance continue? Those are still unanswered questions.
However, Hope Valley is experiencing an economic downturn. After a time of prosperity and technology, the town must work together to get out of this difficult time. How will the town support each other?

At the end of When Calls The Heart Season 9, Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) was ill. He needed to leave town to get X-rays. Will this season reveal his illness? We don’t have any indication.
However, in the first episode of WCTH Season 10, entitled “Carpe Diem,” Wagner’s character will be a main part of this upcoming storyline.
In this episode, Elizabeth and Bill “learn that the children of Hope Valley have made a discovery that could change the future of the town.” To add to this brief preview, the First Look video shows Elizabeth telling Bill, “Seize the day.” That is the English translation of the Latin phrase “carpe diem,” the name of this episode.
Next, we see Bill fall backward into a sort of pool, in his long johns. It looks like a cathartic move. Does this scene have to do with his health, or does it have to do with what the Hope Valley children find?
Although many characters are not mentioned, there will surely be more hints and sneak peeks into the upcoming season.
