General Hospital: Tyler Christopher Arrested At Airport

According to Burbank PD, the Ex soap star was detained on Friday at the airport after police were alerted to a man dozing off close to the American Airlines terminal, which the Southern California officers feared might have been caused by alcohol.

According to TMZ, when the cops woke Christopher, he informed them that he had missed his flight. However, it appears it wasn’t sufficient enough for them, as the police ultimately handcuffed and booked him for public intoxication.

According to reports, Christopher was visibly intoxicated and unable of taking care of himself. TMZ said their sources said that was sufficient justification for busting him.

Tyler Christopher played the love-to-hate sometimes-dark villain Nikolas Cassadine from 1996 – 2016. Allegedly General Hospital Colleagues smelled booze on him daily and the powers that be finally canned him in 2016. ABC gave Christopher several chances to get help before finally firing him. NBC Execs stepped up and gave the soap star a chance with an iconic role on Days Of Our Lives as another love-to-hate villain, Stefan DiMera. He played Stefan from 2017 – 2019 and for some reason, DOOL writers killed the character off abruptly.

Tyler’s addiction also caused the demise of his 13-year marriage to the love of his life Brienne Pedigo, he has 2 children with her. Christopher also opened up on the ‘State of Mind’ that his alcoholism resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Sadly this is not the only actor on the ABC soap to have Alcohol problems, recently Haley Pullos who plays Molly Lansing Davis was in 2 accidents on the same day while intoxicated. Pullos has several pending charges including assaulting a first responder. She has reportedly checked herself into a rehab facility.
