Katy Perry Hints She Might Be Leaving ‘American Idol’
American Idol just wrapped up its most recent season and Katy Perry dropped hints that she might be leaving the reality TV singing competition series. It seems that Katy is missing her actual career and realized that the TV show might be interfering with what she really loves.

Katy Perry hints she might leave American Idol
Katy Perry did some interviews before the American Idol season finale. One of these was with Extra, and they asked her about her future on the show. That is when Katy started talking about something else. Her comments made it sound like she wasn’t as happy on the show as she used to be.
The interviewer asked Katy about future American Idol seasons, and she said that she was going to “talk about it tonight.” She then said she loves her job and what she does, but she is getting a little “FOMO” (fear of missing out) when it comes to her singing and touring career. “I know that I miss going out into the world and doing what those kids get to do,” she said. “It’s been quite a minute.”
Katy did say that she loves what they did when the three judges helped resurrect the show on ABC. “I’m just so proud of everything we’ve been able to do thus far,” she said.
American Idol fans have been critical of Katy Perry all season
Fans have been all over Katy Perry this entire season on American Idol. It seems that, after six seasons, fans of the show might be ready for a change in the judges. They have even started throwing out complaints about the beloved Lionel Richie. However, for Katy, the complaints remain harsh. Katy was often blasted for being too harsh on some of the singers in the competition. This even reached a peak when Wé Ani’s dad called out Katy for being “snarky” when his daughter finished singing her songs. Many fans agreed that Katy was not nice when dealing with Ani.
However, there are other fans who thought that she went too easy on some singers, such as Haven Madison. Other fans complained when Katy was too harsh on Nutsa Buzaladze. Then, weeks later, they complained that Katy helped save Nutsa, showing that nothing the judge did was good enough for the fans. It might be that Katy is ready to leave the world of reality television in the rearview mirror.
