DWTS Season 32 will be here shortly, but when and where can viewers catch the latest season?

Fans were incredibly surprised when execs announced that Dancing With The Stars would leave Disney+ ahead of the 32nd season. So where exactly will it air and when?

Keep reading to see what TV Shows Ace uncovered.

DWTS Season 32 will be on ABC in the fall of 2023

Last year, fans were shocked when Mark Ballas announced his return to the ballroom. After receiving high marks all season long, he and his partner Charli D’Amelio easily won the Mirrorball Trophy.

However, many seasoned Dancing With The Stars fans didn’t like the fact the series moved to Disney+. It seems that the executive team listened to the fans because DWTS Season 32 will be back on ABC.

But what about the premiere date?

According to insider Kristyn Burtt, there are a number of different things that could happen with DWTS Season 32. For example, the ongoing writers’ strike could impact the series, as well as a potential Screen Actors Guild strike.

But if the strike ends and Dancing With The Stars launches in the fall as hoped, it could premiere as late as October.

As per the Hollywood Reporter, the Primetime Emmys is Monday, September 18. After that, Monday night football will take over ABC starting September 25. Unless ABC opts to move DWTS to a different night, that would make the most probable premiere night October 2.

An October premiere would also give the dancers more time to rest and recover before returning to the stage. As of mid-May 2023, three of the women pro dancers have given birth this year and two more are still due. It’s unlikely that all five women will return, but several of them probably will.

But who will fill the empty seat at the judges’ table?

When head judge Len Goodman stepped down at the end of Season 31, fans and cast members alike knew there would be an open seat at the judges’ table. But not everyone realized that Len would pass away just a few months later.

As far as fans know, the empty seat is still up for grabs. Cheryl Burke previously said she would like to have the seat, but producers turned her down. Former pro dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy also said he would accept an invitation to judge the series.

But it’s also possible that the executive team will leave Len Goodman’s seat open, as Shirley Ballas seemed to think would happen. As Kristyn Burtt pointed out, there are still many uncertainties about the show right now.
