If Dancing With The Stars asked Maks Chmerkovskiy to return, would he oblige?

After leaving the show as a pro dancer, Maks previously said he would no longer be interested in a comeback. However, he spent some time as a judge on the Ukrainian version of the show. After that, he seemed to fall in love with the series all over again.

So what does he think now? Keep reading to see what he has to say.

Maks Chmerkovskiy would certainly consider an offer to be on Dancing With The Stars

Maks Chmerkovskiy last competed on DWTS Season 25 with Vanessa Lachey. They went on to finish in 7th place out of 13 couples. But many things have changed over the past six seasons.

So would Maks ever come back to show?

“I love that DANCE has been represented worldwide by an entity such as DWTS and I would absolutely love to continue being a part of this project,” the Ukrainian dancer told Heavy. However, fans shouldn’t expect to see him as a professional dancer anytime soon. According to Maks, that ship has sailed.

Now, he would love to have a chance to judge the competition. Len Goodman’s retirement at the end of Season 31 left behind an empty seat. Len sadly passed away on April 22, 2023.

“My favorite ‘capacity’ would obviously be the judging position as I’ve finally understood its role and had experience of judging a full season in Ukraine. It would be an honor to be sitting behind that desk,” he continued.

And he isn’t the only one who thinks he deserves a shot behind the judges’ desk either. His wife Peta Murgatroyd also wants to see Maks make his grand return to Dancing With The Stars.

“Of course. He would love to do that. I don’t know. I think that’s his next step,” Peta told Us Weekly. “I think that he’s born to do that stuff. He loves to talk. You know Maks, he will talk your ear off.”

Would you also like to see Maks Chmerkovskiy behind the judges’ desk? Or are holding onto hope that he’ll come back as a pro dancer? No matter what you think, share your thoughts and opinions in the comments.

The Chmerkovskiy family keeps growing

Could there be a new generation of dancers soon?

Maks’ younger brother Val Chmerkovskiy welcomed a son in January. Maks and Peta already have one son, but they’ll welcome another baby boy in June. If the babies inherit their parents’ talent, they’ll be a pretty unstoppable force someday.

Maks Chmerkovskiy might not return as a pro dancer, but both Peta Murgatroyd and Val’s wife Jenna Johnson hope they will get a chance. Even if Maks doesn’t return as a judge, he will still cheer on his talented family members as they compete.
