Is Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz headed to space? In some ways, yes. He’s been busy doing damage control for the two restaurants that he co-owns with Tom Sandoval. After the cheating scandal emerged in early March, diehard fans were not too thrilled with Sandoval’s behavior. They felt that they were supporting Sandoval’s longtime scorned girlfriend, Ariana Madix by boycotting TomTom and Schwartz and Sandy’s. Now, Schwartz is doing something for himself and it is literally out of this world. Read on for more details.

Is Vanderpump Rules Star Tom Schwartz Headed To Space?

Tom Schwartz has been Tom Sandoval’s fall guy for a very long time. Fans and Vanderpump cast mates have questioned if Schwartz’s marriage to Katie Maloney would’ve fallen apart had it not been for Sandoval. He had such an immense loyalty to him that he knew that Sandoval had been unfaithful to Ariana back in August 2022. That was when Tom Sandoval and co-star Raquel Leviss first hooked up. Then, Schwartz and Raquel proceeded to kiss at Scheana Shay’s Mexico wedding the same month. More so, it seemed that Schwartz was a decoy for his bestie’s messy behavior.

After ‘Scandoval’ broke, fans went after the Toms’ businesses, which was really bad for the employees who had no skin in the game. Now, it seems that Tom Schwartz is finally stepping out from Sandoval’s shadow and doing his own thing. According to Entertainment Weekly, Schwartz will be a cast member of Stars on Mars. The series will air on FOX and will feature a handful of celebrities but will they be going to Mars? Not really but they will be directed by none other than William Shatner so that is a big plus.

The premise of the series is for twelve celebrities to take on tasks assigned by Shatner (aka Mission Control). Every week, they will vote on who should go back to Earth ie be voted off the show. Finally, the end goal is to become “the brightest star in the galaxy.” However, with Tom Schwartz’s track record, this seems unlikely though he did attend Florida State with hopes of being a doctor. So, maybe he has a shot with Sandoval away from him.

Who Will He Be Competing Against?

Alongside Tom Schwartz, there are some worthy contenders. So, who are they?

  • Lance Armstrong (cyclist)
  • Natasha Leggero (actor)
  • Marshawn Lynch (football player)
  • Christopher Mintz-Plasse (“McLovin”)
  • Adam Rippon (Olympian)
  • Ronda Rousey (wrestler/UFC)
  • Richard Sherman (football player)
  • Tinashe (singer)
  • Porsha Williams (RHOA)
  • Tallulah Willis (actress)
  • Ariel Winter (actress)

That rounds out the cast but Porsha and Ronda are extremely competitive with the former being a very good game player. Moreover, they have a mix of brains and brawn so this should be very exciting to see.

Finally, Stars on Mars premieres June 5th. Will you be watching and will you be cheering for Tom Schwartz? Let us know in the comments.
