The Epps family from Seeking Sister Wife is currently facing eviction but they are fighting back. As followers may recall, Marcus and his ladies, Taryn and India had two homes. Not only did they reside in Ohio where he was a councilman but also had a rental in Florida. This is where the eviction is occurring but why and how? Read on for more details.

Seeking Sister Wife Epps Family Faces Eviction

The Epps family was questionable prior to Season 4 of Seeking Sister Wife. Marcus Epps was a councilman but he had been involved in some shady dealings in his past. A shooting had happened in a club that he and his wife were a part of. Someone ended up dying due to this. Furthermore, he owned property that had a fire but the premises became uninhabitable, and a warrant was issued. Yet, Epps claimed that this was all political. Then, he owed thousands in back taxes making people question how he could be a council member. This year, he announced his bid for reelection, which was shocking.

Now, according to Starcasm, the family is being evicted from their Florida home. For starters, Marcus’ name is not even on the lease, just Taryn’s and India’s. It is believed the reason for this is so he can continue his political career in another state. This is not the original Florida home that they lived in but rather a different one that they moved into. However, their landlord decided to evict them last month for unpaid rent. It is alleged that they did not pay for both February and March, each month costing $3,475. Yet, the Epps ladies are not taking this laying down.

Though they are supposed to leave the house with their possessions in early April, that might not happen. The Seeking Sister Wife family has their own problems and chose to countersue the landlord. First things first, they did make the required payment though it was after the deadline that the judge provided. However, Taryn claims that she was unable to rectify the situation until it was a little too late. She says: “the information was not available to her until the day prior.”

How Are They Further Fighting Back?

The Seeking Sister Wife family not only submitted that they did not get the information on time. However, they have made the payment and a new court date is scheduled for May 8th. Yet, the family had filed a long list of complaints when they received the eviction notice. Apparently, on February 1st, they had sent a “Notice To Withold Rent And Terminate Agreement” to the landlord. There is a bevy of issues with the home that they reside in.

They claim that they cannot use the pool, there’s no working electricity in the master bathroom, an irrigation expense, a broken ice machine, and more. Therefore, they countersued the landlord for over 12K. It is only a matter of time until followers get to see who will win and who will lose. As for Marcus Epps, he seems to constantly get away with shady business so now the tables have turned. We will try to provide an update as soon as we get one.

Do you think that the Seeking Sister Wife family has a valid excuse for not paying their rent? More so, should they have even paid when they faced eviction or taken it right to court? Let us know in the comments.
