‘Love Is Blind’ Paul’s Decision Stops Micah In Her Tracks
Love Is Blind couple Paul Peden and Micah Lussier fell in love in the pods and had a lot of people rooting them on. When they finally got to the altar, things didn’t go the way anyone thought that they would. In fact, Micah wanted to let Paul go first when answering if he wanted to marry her or not. She felt it was important to hear what he was going to say first. Now it looks as if the couple is opening up about how it all went down.
The Altar Surprise
While viewers looked on for the season finale of the show, they were shocked when Micah put the ball in Paul’s court. When she told him to go first, he said to her, “I love you. But, I don’t think that we can choose each other right now.” Of course, she was shocked and heartbroken, So much so that she left the altar in tears. Now she has opened up to People Magazine about the choices she and Paul both made.
Micah began, “I think as a viewer, it might seem like I was afraid of saying yes and him saying no. It was actually quite the opposite. I felt like if I said yes, he might feel like he had to and like he was backed in a corner. And I wanted him to answer for him.” She went on to say that she felt like if he got to go first, he would answer completely with his heart and nothing else.
The Love Is Blind Love Story
Micah got a bad rap for a lot of this season. She first hit it off with Kwame Appiah in the pods. He fell hard and fast for her too. However, he ended up choosing his now wife, Chelsea Griffin. That didn’t stop Micah from flirting with him when they met in Mexico. Micah got a lot of backlash for being one of the villains of the season when her and bestie, Irina ganged up.
When Kwame chose another woman, Micah was upset, but she knew that she wanted to be with Paul. In the end, it seems as if they were a lot different than they thought. Her best friend told her that Paul wasn’t the one for her and got in her head. Paul knew that he had to choose with his heart and he just felt that he couldn’t marry Micah at that moment.
