‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy Tia Lupita Foods
Shark Tank is back this week with a new episode. In this episode, the owners of Tia Lupita Foods are pitching their product. They are hoping to get a bite from one of the sharks to help push their business to a higher level.
Here is what you need to know about Tia Lupita Foods from Shark Tank.
What is Tia Lupita Foods from Shark Tank
Hector Saldivar created Tia Lupita Foods and is looking for an investor from Shark Tank to help him raise his company to another level. Hector says that his product embodies the tradition, love, and flavors of Mexico while also offering healthy products. He named it after his mother.
Hector moved from Mexico to San Francisco and he wanted to bring the taste of the food from back home with him. His mother used to make homemade hot sauce and would send him bottles. He soon realized there was nothing like it in the United States that he could find, and his friends always wanted more.
Tia gave her son permission to share the recipe with the world and that is how his business got started. He launched the company in 2018 with one product, sharing his mother’s recipe. However, he quickly expanded the offerings. He now sells tortilla chips, cactus tortillas, and two different flavors of Salsa Macha.
What makes it different is that it uses Nopales Cactus as a key ingredient. This is a Mexican superfood that gives all the food a distinct flavor. The company also uses upcycled foods, which reduces waste and adds additional health benefits.
