The Disney Channel celebrated its 40th anniversary this month. However, fans noticed that Demi Lovato didn’t make an appearance even though she was clearly successful and was part of the network. Demi was one of the most recognizable faces on the network. They starred in the popular Camp Rock films before starring in their own series, Sonny With a Chance.

Disney hasn’t shared why they left Demi Lovato out of the footage. She hasn’t spoken out about the snub. However, she did go back in time with her pop career. Last month, the “Cool for the Summer” singer recently announced her re-recorded version of her version of “Heart Attack (Rock Version).”

Meanwhile, fans have defended Demi. They don’t appreciate that they left her out of the 40-year anniversary clip. Some of them took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Here are just some of the comments:

  • “Y’all left Demi out like always.”

  • “Demi exposed your disgusting a** now u hold a grudge lol.”
  • “Demi Lovato, the most talented Disney star during the golden era.”

Demi Lovato teases new documentary

Demi Lovato has been outspoken about her negative experience with Disney. She shared some of her experiences on The Disney Channel, which they referred to as the “Disney High” on the podcast, In Bed With Nick and Megan. The “29” singer has also announced that they’re working on a documentary with Hulu. It’s slated for release sometime in 2024.

Demi is working alongside Nicola Marsh to co-direct Child Star, which is a feature film that “deconstructs the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight through the lens of some of the world’s most famous former child stars.” Demi Lovato is excited to make their directorial debut with this first-ever project. She feels that it’s important to share the story of what really went on The Disney Channel. Demi continues to be passionate about sharing their experience.
